In this interactive workshop, we briefly review current best practices for common assessment techniques in the Humanities, including:
- Using Rubrics
- Peer Review
- Marginal and Textual Feedback
- Rubric Design
- Student Evaluation
We then focus on novel assessment techniques for intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, including:
- Self-directed feedback
- Real-time feedback
- Use of A/V tools for multimodal feedback
- Gamification
Participants will refresh one of their assessment pieces and leave the workshop with a toolkit for modifying assessment practices.
Because of the experiential nature of this workshop, seating is limited to 25 participants.
